The teams participating in the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 are set to find out their opponents for the 41st edition of Europe’s showpiece basketball event at Thursday’s draw in Berlin, Germany with FIBA EuroBasket 2022 ambassador Dirk Nowitzki, as well as former internationals Roberto Brunamonti and Viktor Sanikidze, assisting with the drawing of the groups.

The draw, set to take place at 13:00 CET on April 29, will be livestreamed on the FIBA YouTube channel and the official FIBA EuroBasket Facebook page.

The event will also mark the first public appearance for the official FIBA EuroBasket 2022 mascot, who will be unveiled during the draw ceremony.

Due to the COVID-19 situation in Germany and taking into consideration the current governmental restrictions, the event will be held behind closed doors with only the four hosting National Federations – Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy and Germany –  and a limited number of guests attending.

The draw will sort the 24 qualified teams into four groups of six teams each, as per the seedings, which were assigned based on the FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike.

The seedings are as follows:
