Nemanja Bjelica (calf) is officially out for the World Cup Qualifiers.
As reported by Eurohoops’ Johnny Askounis, Bjelica won’t be available for the remaining qualifying game of Serbia against Turkey this Sunday. He was also shelved against Greece in their recent bout.
As such, his status remains questionable in the looming EuroBasket tournament – which may give the Serbians another huge loss following the unavailabilities of Bogdan Bodanovic, Nikola Jovic, Aleksej Pokusevski, Milos Teodosic and the others.
After winning an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors last 2021-22 season, Bjelica headed back to Europe and inked with Turkish team Fenerbahce this offseason.
