Doc Rivers made an interesting statement regarding the race for the NBA MVP award this season.

Rivers, the head coach of the Philadelphia 76ers, said he wants a big man to win the award this season.

“Doc Rivers says he thinks Joel Embiid should win the MVP, and if not him, it should be “the kid in Denver.” Says he wants to see a big man win the award,” Adam Aaronson reports.

Embiid is averaging 29.8 points, 11 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 37 games for the Sixers this season.

Meanwhile, Jokic is averaging 26 points, 10.9 boards and 8.8 assists in 55 games for the Denver Nuggets.
