The season is over for the Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray, who tore ACL in his left knee. It was a big blow to the team to lose the point guard, according to the head coach Michael Malone. However, he thinks that the rest of the players should commit to stepping in absence of Murray.

“I gave our team Jamal Murray’s stats and no one person is going to replace what Jamal does for this team. But by committing we can,” Malone said after the Nuggets defeated the Heat.

“Michael Porter, Will Barton, Monte Morris, P. J. Dozier, Facundo Campazzo, all those guys together we can do it by committing. I thought that we did that tonight. That is definitely a recipe for success for this team moving forward.”

Malone also revealed that Murray was devastated after suffering the injury. “It’s been an emotional 24 or 36 hours for Jamal,” he said, per Mark Medina. “Jamal is devastated, understandably so. So is the team.”
