The Denver Nuggets have added Reese Dixon-Waters and Keonte Jones to their training camp roster, according to HoopsHype.
Dixon-Waters, a guard who played his college basketball at USC and San Diego State, spent five seasons in the NCAA. He finished his college career with San Diego State in 2025-26, averaging 13.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 32 games.
The 6-foot-4 guard shot 42.8% from the field, 35.6% from three-point range and 87.8% from the free-throw line during his final season. His 30.1 minutes per game were also a career high.
Dixon-Waters improved his scoring production significantly during his college career. He averaged only 4.8 points in 33 games as a sophomore at USC in 2021-22 before posting 9.8 points in 29 games the following season.
After transferring to San Diego State, he averaged 9.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in 2023-24 before making another jump as a senior.
Jones brings a different statistical profile to Denver. The forward spent his first two college seasons at Cal State Northridge before transferring to Dayton for the 2025-26 campaign.
At Cal State Northridge in 2024-25, Jones averaged 13.1 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 32 games while shooting 50.0% from the field and 36.4% from three-point range.
His production changed after moving to Dayton, where he averaged 7.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 37 games. Jones shot 50.7% from the field and 31.7% from three-point range while playing 30.2 minutes per game.
The additions give Denver two more players competing for opportunities during training camp as the Nuggets reshape their roster around Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.
Jokic led Denver in 2025-26 with 27.7 points, 12.9 rebounds and 10.7 assists per game, while Murray averaged 25.4 points and 7.1 assists. Aaron Gordon, Cameron Johnson and Christian Braun were also among the team’s primary contributors.
Denver made several changes during the offseason after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games in the first round of the playoffs. The Nuggets matched Spencer Jones’ two-year, $11.75 million offer sheet, signed veterans including DeMar DeRozan and Tyus Jones, and added Marvin Bagley III, Alpha Diallo and Lonnie Walker IV.
The Nuggets also traded Peyton Watson to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a five-team sign-and-trade that brought Denver an unprotected 2031 first-round pick.
