Kevin Durant got involved in another beef. Last year, it was with his former teammate and current NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins, this time it is with sports analyst Shannon Sharpe.

It started with Sharpe reacting to a supposed quote from the Brooklyn Nets star in which he supposedly said he defeated LeBron James, whom people call the GOAT, in back-to-back NBA Finals and asked what that makes him.

The supposed quote was from The ETC Podcast and was shared on Twitter. “People try to discredit my rings, but honestly I feel like they’re the most valuable of our era. People argue [LeBron James] is the GOAT, but if I beat him in back to finals, then what does that make me?” Durant was quoted in the tweet.

The two-time NBA champion denied the authenticity of the quote. “Shannon went on tv responding to this quote like I actually said this. Gullible fans will believe it, or say “you was thinking this anyway” it’s comedy at this point,” he tweeted.

A segment of UNDISPUTED was dedicated to Durant’s comment as Sharpe and co-host Skip Bayless shared their thoughts on it. They remembered other quotes from the Nets superstar and criticized him for them.

Sharpe and Bayless also discussed KD’s move from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Golden State Warriors, rejecting the notion that he wasn’t ring-chasing when he joined the Dubs.

Durant reacted to Sharpe quoting him with a tweet. “Y’all drunk uncle out here lying again. When did I say this Shannon Sharpe ???????????????????????????” he tweeted.

Sharpe reacted to Durant’s tweet (“Ole Shannon refuses to respond to me. Yo Shannon why are u using your platform to push fake quotes about me???”) by tweeting: “KD, IF* you wanna talk to me. I’m not hard to find, but I’m not going bck and forth on social media. Whatever our differences are. They can be handled out of the eye of social media.”

The exchange ended with Sharpe wishing KD to stay healthy and finish the season strong as the Nets star wondered why the sports analyst refuses to iron things out in public. “We can talk in front of everybody, it ain’t that serious Shannon, u go on tv in front of everybody pushing fake shit but now u wanna talk in private??? Why u lying on tv Shannon???” Durant asked.

In the end it appears that Sharpe lost patience and blocked Durant on Twitter. “But I’m sensitive,” Durant tweeted with a screenshot from Twitter which shows that Sharpe has blocked him.
