Steph Curry had a special night in store officially becoming the Golden State Warriors’ franchise leading scorer passing the great Wilt Chamberlain.

Curry needed 19 points to complete the impressive milestone, however he went off for 53 leading his team to an important 116-107 victory against the mighty Denver Nuggets.

Curry finished the special night with 10-of-18 shooting from deep, scoring the first 21 points of his 53 piece in just the first quarter.

(via San Francisco Chronicle):

“With Wilt, any time you hear his name, you always just assume that his record is unreachable,” Curry said. “… I thank God for the ability to come out and play basketball and have fun. This is my happy place.

“Wilt Chamberlain. Any time you hear his name, that’s legacy-type stuff. I don’t even know how to put it into words beyond that.”
