The latest addition to the Los Angeles Lakers, Ben McLemore, spoke to the media for the first time since officially signing with the team. The 27-year-old guard expressed excitement to team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis as well as other players on the roster.

“It’s another great feeling to get to play with the best player in the world,” McLemore said, per Ryan Ward. “LeBron James and Anthony Davis and all the guys. To be able to put on this Lakers uniform, I’m going to be thrilled. It’s going to be fun and exciting.”

Prior to joining the Lakers, he played 32 games with the Rockets averaging 7.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. The team’s head coach Frank Vogel said he was “thrilled” to have McLemore on the roster.
