Ben McLemore played 21 regular season games after joining the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent. The 28-yer-old guard averaged 7.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 17.5 minutes during those games for the reigning NBA champions.

His playing time and numbers shrank in the playoffs. McLemore averaged 1.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 9.3 minutes during the four playoff games that he played.

During the season-closing press conference, he was asked whether he plans on returning to the Lakers next season. “We’ll see,” McLemore said. “It’s a business, we see how things go.

“But obviously my time here was amazing. I appreciate Rob [Pelinka] and Frank [Vogel] giving me the opportunity of being on this great big platform with the Lakers and playing with these group of guys. It was amazing.”
