For the first time in his NBA career, Andre Drummond is on a team that is a championship contender. The Los Angeles Lakers is the most successful franchise of the league along with the Boston Celtics with 17 titles apiece.
Over the years, many legends, such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, to name a few, wore Purple and Gold.
Drummond says he feels honored to be able to step on the same court which saw so many of the Lakers greats play before. “It’s an honor to be in this facility, be able to step onto that court where these legends have played and built such an incredible legacy here in LA. It’s a lot of excitement me to be here,” he said after his first practice as a Laker.
