Despite not playing a single NBA game for two months, the Los Angeles Lakers newcomer Andre Drummond was able to stay in good shape. The 27-year-old center talked about how he felt during his first practice as a Laker.

“I had a chance to play today and I felt incredible, I wasn’t winded,” he said. “I did a great job during this time off really taking care of my body and working on my conditioning knowing that I had a chance to come back and play again soon. So I made I was in great shape when the opportunity came.”

Drummond will make his NBA debut as a Laker later today in a game against the Bucks. Prior to joining the reigning NBA champions, he averaged 17.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game for the Cavaliers.
