The Houston Rockets are trading Victor Oladipo to the Miami Heat, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

In exchange, the Heat are sending Kelly Olynyk and Avery Bradley to the Rockets, per Shams Charania.

The Heat were also in the running for Kyle Lowry, but landed Oladipo instead, who they hope to convince to re-sign with them long-term, as Oladipo will be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.

Oladipo, 28, will bolster the Heat’s rotation on the wing alongside Jimmy Butler, as they attempt to reach a second consecutive NBA Finals.

In 29 games, Oladipo is averaging 20.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game, while shooting 41.1 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point.

The Heat now have two open roster spots and are expected to sign at least one player in the buyout market, per Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

The Heat are expected to be the frontrunner to land LaMarcus Aldridge, who is negotiating a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs, but Aldridge plans to talk with several teams before finalizing his decision, notes Adrian Wojnarowski.
