The Los Angeles Lakers extended their winning streak to four games by defeating the Charlotte Hornets 116-105. In the second half of the game, the reigning NBA champions switched to a small lineup with LeBron James playing as a center as they adjusted to their opponents.

Frank Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, shared his thoughts on how using a small lineup worded against Charlotte. “They started the half small.

We like to give our style of play a chance to counter that first. They went on a run so we countered that with a small lineup of our own.

“Trezz got in there some against Bismack Biyombo. When they took all their bigs out we had them in there some, we had keep in there some and then we ultimately move Bron to the five with four guards. Just worked on containment. Obviously, Bron was able to lead that group and take us home.”
