Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard had high praise for the Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards after his career night on Sunday.
Edwards was the primary reason Minnesota won 114-112 over Portland, as he registered 34 points, on 12-of-24 shooting from the field and 6-of-14 shooting from three-point range.
The No.1 overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft has been a regular presence in the highlight reel this season despite some consistency issues.
Edwards assumed a starting role in the last few games and really showed up in the scoring board. In the last seven games, the rookie is averaging 23.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest.
