Derrick Rose could make his debut with the New York Knicks on Tuesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat. The Knicks announced the former MVP is available to play tonight.

Rose joined his new team in Miami, after the Knicks finalized the trade deal with the Detroit Pistons. The deal reunited the veteran guard with his former head coach Tom Thibodeau.

The 32-year-old guard was traded by the Detroit Pistons to the Knicks for Dennis Smith Jr. and a 2021 second-round pick on Sunday.

Rose averaged 14.2 points, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals on 42.9 percent shooting in 15 games with the Pistons this season – second with the franchise.
