The Philadelphia 76ers are on top of the Eastern Conference thanks to the added shooting that was injected to the team the last offseason.

Seth Curry, who joined the Sixers in November, thinks Ben Simmons plays a huge part in the great numbers of his team in the offensive end.

“He impacts everybody on the floor,” said Curry. “Just with energy. No matter whether he’s scoring big or not, he creates havoc on the defensive end, he creates turnovers, and pushes the pace for us to get guys shots without having to run offense so that’s always a plus.”

The point forward is recording a career-low in scoring this season with averages of 13.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.0 assists per contest.

Simmons is a vital part of the Sixers’ defensive scheme, while he can run the floor and create shots for his teammates adding extra value in the 76ers’ offensive plays.

“Ben does a lot on the floor for us,” Curry continued. “There’s a lot of guys in the league putting up big numbers that aren’t affecting the game anywhere close to the way he is on a nightly basis. We definitely appreciate what he does.”
