Damian Lillard shared his excitement for the decision of Carmelo Anthony to return to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Lillard said the entire Blazers franchise wanted Anthony to re-sign and remain with the team.
“He wanted to come back, I wanted him to come back, Terry wanted him to come back, all our teammates wanted him to come back. It’s a respect factor. That’s a key for us, having that respect,” Lillard said, via Sean Highkin of Bleacher Report.
Anthony, who averaged 15.4 points and 6.3 rebounds last season, agreed to an one-year deal with Portland.
