The Los Angeles Lakers could ask Dennis Schroder to come off the bench next season, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Schroder expressed his willingness to be a starter for the Lakers, while speaking to reporters on Monday.

“The Lakers have not settled upon their starting lineup, sources told ESPN. Though Schroder will be considered for the starting point guard spot, he could also be asked to fill in off the bench, sources said,” McMenamin reports, via Lakers Daily.

Schroder, who averaged 18.9 points, 4.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game last season, joined the Lakers via a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
