The Dallas Mavericks young superstar Luka Doncic reacted to the passing of football legend Diego Maradona via a tweet. The 60-year-old 1986 FIFA World Cup winner has reportedly passed of a heart attack.

At the beginning of November, Maradona underwent emergency brain surgery to treat a subdural hematoma. He was released on November 12 after successful surgery. The Argentinean is yet another sports icon to pass away in 2020. The basketball world was shaken by the tragic death of Kobe Bryant back in January.

“MARADONA RIP,” Doncic, who is a big football fan, tweeted followed by praying emojis.
