Tyronn Lue has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Clippers to become the new head coach of the team.

Lue, a 2016 NBA champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers, is expected to sign a very lucrative contract with the Clippers.

Per Jovan Buha and Joe Vardon of The Athletic, his contract will be for five years, worth around $35M.

“Having won in Cleveland, Lue was looking for at least $7 million per season — commensurate with winning an NBA title. Financial terms of his agreement with the Clippers were not immediately disclosed, but his contract is for five years and believed to be in the $7 million range annually, league sources said,” Buha and Vardon report.
