Kristaps Porzingis is expected to take part in the training camp of the Dallas Mavericks for the 2020/21 season.

Porzingis had surgery on his right knee to repair a meniscus tear, as announced by the Mavericks on Friday.

Even though the team said there is no timetable for his return, Tim MacMahon of ESPN revealed Porzingis will be ready for next season’s training camp.

“Sources have told ESPN that the Mavs are optimistic that Porzingis will be able to participate in training camp, which will begin at an undetermined date because of the uncertainty of next season’s NBA schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” MacMahon reports.

Porzingis got injured during the first-round playoff series between the Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers.
