Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla praised Kristaps Porzingis’ stellar play off the bench following Thursday’s 107-89 NBA Finals Game 1 home win vs. the Dallas Mavericks (20 points/6 rebounds/3 blocks/8-13 FG/2-4 3-PT/2-2 FT/+13 +/-).

Bobby Manning: “What led to going with Kristaps off the bench here? And what allowed him to get off to that start he did in the first half?”
Mazzulla: “Just thought it gave us the best chance to win. He was great on both ends of the floor: defensive execution, gameplan, fighting for a spot on the offensive end, being physical, and making plays on both ends of the floor. So I thought he played great, and that’s the KP that helped us get to where we are today.”
