Former NBA champion and current analyst Kendrick Perkins reacted to Kyrie Irving saying ‘he was the best option on every team he’s played for down the stretch’ and throwing shade on LeBron James.

The Brooklyn Nets point guard later publicly claimed his comment was not pointed toward LeBron though. According to Perkins, Irving has clearly taken a shot at James. “Absolutely!” Perkins said on ESPN’s Get Up.

“And he should have addressed it like the numbers on the house. Don’t hide behind it. And don’t try to make a video to cover up for it. The world knew that you were talking of LeBron James. LeBron James knew that. But you know what. It’s LeBron’s fault. Because my grandpa used to always tell me ‘Hey Perk, don’t feed every dog you see suffering because some just need the strength to bite you.’

“Before LeBron James went back to Cleveland Kyrie Irving had a first-class ticket every single year to the lottery when he was a superstar. He had the lowest win percentage as a superstar when he was the head of the snake at 27%.”
