Vince Carter believes DeAndre Jordan can be the third star of the Brooklyn Nets behind Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Durant, Irving and Jordan all signed four-year contracts with the Nets in the summer of 2019. Jordan did not play in the Orlando “bubble” after contracting the coronavirus.
“You’ve gotta be careful. It’s a slippery slope when you’re putting guys together. I feel like you could have a third star in somebody like DeAndre Jordan who can shine.
He’s not somebody who’s gonna get a lot of touches, but what does he do? He puts a lot of pressure on the defense going to the rim,” Carter said, via Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News.
Brooklyn is expected to be a title contender next season.
