DeAndre Jordan will make his preseason debut with the Los Angeles Lakers against his former team the Brooklyn Nets.

The veteran big man joined the Lakers this offseason to claim what he failed to earn last season, the NBA championship.

“I’m thinking about where I’m at now and my focus is here with this group of guys and I’m excited about it,” Jordan said, via Daniel Starkland of Lakers Nation.

DeAndre Jordan knows the Lakers and the Nets start from the pole position in the title race. That means he may meet his former team many times during the season in his quest for the first championship of his career.

Both the Lakers and the Nets will miss many players in their preseason opener at Staples Center on Sunday.
