Michael Malone addressed the doubters of the Denver Nuggets, who say the team does not belong to the Western Conference Finals.
The Nuggets have come back twice from a 3-1 deficit in the 2020 NBA playoffs and are currently down 2-1 in the series against the Los Angeles Lakers.
“I think there’s probably a lot of people out there that look at us and say, we’re that SAT question, which team doesn’t belong? Oh, it’s the Denver Nuggets. Lakers, Boston, that’s basketball royalty. The Miami Heat, they have championships. What does Denver have?
Well, we’ve got a special group that believes, that fights, and I think represents a lot of people from all across this country,” Malone said, via Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports.
Game 4 between the Lakers and the Nuggets is on Thursday.
