The Dallas Mavericks had to finish Game 1 of the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Los Angeles Clippers without Kristaps Porzingis, who was ejected. It was a controversial call by the referees that caused some superstars, like LeBron James, say it was bogus. Porzingis’ teammate, Luka Doncic, was also critical of the referees’ decision.

After the game, the 25-year-old forward concurred that he was being provoked by the Clippers. At the same time, Porzingis admitted that it was his mistake to react the way he did.

“That’s what they do. Not their main guys, but some of the other guys, that’s their job. We can’t fall into that. We have to be above that. These are the mistakes you have to go through to gain experience,” KP said, per Ben Golliver of Washington Post.

Latvian forward played a total 20 minutes versus the Clippers during which he scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
