NBA commissioner Adam Silver believes the NBA restart is going very well, as the protocols put into place seem to be working.

The league announced that of the 346 players tested daily, zero players tested positive for coronavirus from July 13-19.

Silver is set to make his first appearance in the Orlando “bubble” and he recently spoke about how he feels about the situation.

He first mentioned the players.

“It requires significant sacrifice from our players,” Silver told Marc Stein of The New York Times.

Silver then stated that he is “cautiously optimistic” about the NBA restart.

“From my standpoint, it’s going very well, and I’m cautiously optimistic that we’re on the right track,” Silver said. “But I also recognize what we’re doing has not been done before, and the competition is just beginning. The real test will come when players are commingling, playing basketball without masks and without physical distancing.”

Silver must register two negative coronavirus tests before departure and another negative upon arrival in Florida to attend the Pelicans vs. Jazz and Lakers vs. Clippers, according to Stein.

Other than little slip-ups by a few players, things have gone pretty smooth so far, as opening night is a few days away.
