Former NBA champion and current analyst Paul Pierce thinks that Luka Doncic is the most talented player in the NBA right now. He assessed the Dallas Mavericks All-Star point guard on ESPN’s The Jump.
“I expect special things from him. You talk about a kid who made one of the biggest leaps in recent memory from the Rookie of the Year to MVP caliber player. He’s won every European championship that you can think of, every European MVP that you can think of,” The Truth said.
“So I expect special thing from this kid. Clearly he’s special, he’s a talent. He’s probably … to me he’s the most talented player in the NBA today and the lights are never too bright for him. So I expect big things from him come playoff time.”
Doncic is averaging 28.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game in his second year in the NBA. Dallas is currently seventh in the West and is very close to securing a playoff spot.
