Nick Young referred to D’Angelo Russell as Tekashi 69 in his latest interview. The 69 snitch trial was one of the biggest news stories in music this year. For most that don’t know, Russell snitched to Young’s girlfriend when they were both teammates during their time with the Los Angeles Lakers.

That story was one of the most interesting stories during the 2015-16 season. It caused a rift in the already troubled Lakers locker room. Things got worse after that when Kobe Bryant retired that season. During those times, the Lakers organization was in turmoil. They haven’t been to the playoffs since 2012-13.

“Hey 69 man. Look at 69,” Nick Young said when asked to bury the hatchet with D’Angelo Russell. Young acknowledged that Russell improved his game, but it seems like he will never forget what Russell did to him.

Things for the Lakers are looking up nowadays. They are the number one seed in the Western Conference and look like the favorite to win the NBA championship with the greatest player in the world LeBron James leading them.
