Giannis Antetokounmpo is a sports hero, according to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, per TIME Magazine. Everybody knows Antetokounmpo’s story. He moved from Africa to Greece. While in Greece, he developed into an NBA prospect. He had a bad first couple of seasons in the NBA, but he is now a two time NBA MVP.

Antetokounmpo has defied the laws of reality. He is a seven footer that can dribble, shoot and take over games on all areas of the court. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a seven footer that had an unstoppable hook shot but most of his points came from the post. Antetokounmpo has changed the game with his guard skills at his height.

Here’s what Abdul-Jabbar said about Antetokounmpo’s second MVP:

“Giannis Antetokounmpo, who just won a second straight NBA MVP award, has all that and more. To watch him play is to see not just what is, but also what is possible. There is some mystical quality that quickens a fan’s heart when they see that person walk onto the court. The true sports hero makes our bones vibrate and flesh ripple in anticipation of witnessing greatness,” the Bucks icon wrote.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is already an all-time great. He has to win a championship though. Multiple championships to be considered to be on the level of greats, like LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Milwaukee Bucks have to build a roster that will win a championship this offseason.

Antetokounmpo needs a player that can score at will. That, along with Khris Middleton, will create a big three that will be able to contend for a championship. The Milwaukee Bucks are the best team in the East. They have been for two years and there have been no results.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is truly a sports hero. The Milwaukee Bucks have work to do though. They have a great start in Antetokounmpo.
