LeBron James is reportedly expanding his presence in Los Angeles. The Lakers superstar is buying a mansion in Beverly Hills, which was on sale for $39 million. It will be the third house in LA for the three-time NBA champion, who has bought two other houses in Brentwood for $21 million and $23 million.

James is under contract with the Lakers until 2022, but it seems he is planning to stay longer in the area. The King joined the Purple & Gold in 2018 after leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers as a free agent.

Per Matthew Blake of The Real Deal:

Basketball superstar LeBron James is in contract to buy a mansion in Beverly Hills from the estate of a fabled soap opera creator, sources close to the transaction told The Real Deal.

The home at 9955 Beverly Grove Dr., belonging to the estate of “The Bold and the Beautiful” co-creator Lee Phillip Bell, was being marketed at $39 million. It’s unclear what James is paying for the 13,000-square-foot property, which sits on a 2.5-acre plot and boasts seven fireplaces, a pool house with two baths, lighted tennis court, and screening room.

For now, though, LeBron is focused on winning his fourth championship with a third different team. The Lakers are in a good position as they sit atop the Western Conference as the season resumes in Orlando.

In his seventeenth season in the NBA, James is averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists and is one of the top candidates to win the MVP award.
