Good news finally arrives for all New York fans.

New York sports are back. With the coronavirus pandemic stopping all sports and most of the country in March, states are beginning their reopening phases with new health and safety guidelines and sports are starting to return.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that sport is able to return across the state this year. While apparently meeting the necessary requirements, the state is open to business in professional sports.

Cuomo made the Twitter announcement official on Sunday.

“Starting today, New York’s professional sports leagues can begin spring training,” he wrote.

“Spring Training” refers to baseball, which means New York Yankees and Mets, but Cuomo hasn’t limited training and sport to baseball alone. Other teams like the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets of the NBA and the New York Rangers and Islanders of the NHL can start again today.
