Disney World to be “Clear Front Runner” to host resumed NBA season

If the NBA is going to come back, the league needs one site where all the games can be played. The site will be a place where the players are isolated from everybody else. The ideal place for that is Disney World in Orlando according Shams Charania and Sam Amick of the Athletic.

Training camps would start in mid-June while the season could restart in mid-July. Disney World is the clear front runner because of the big campus with adequate amount of hotels to room all the players and the abundance of courts for multiple games being played at once. The courts are also broadcast ready.

Disney owns ESPN and ABC and as you know that is where some of the games are broadcasts. ABC broadcasts all of the NBA Finals games. It looks like the NBA season may be going underway after all. The decision is likely to come somewhere around June 1st.
