New Orleans Pelicans believe Zion Williamson could have made them a playoff team if he was healthy, per Will Guillory of The Athletic.

Williamson missed the first part of the season due to a knee surgery and made his debut on January 22.

“Many within the Pelicans organization believe Zion Williamson could’ve made them a guaranteed playoff team if he was healthy the entire season, and their goals for Season 2 with him would’ve been even loftier before all this.

If Williamson, Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram all make significant strides in their games during the offseason, the Pelicans have a chance to be one of the most dangerous teams in the West during 2020-21,” Guillory reports.

Williamson is averaging 23.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists for the Pelicans in 19 games. New Orleans has gone 10-9 with Williamson in the lineup.
