LeBron James scored 28 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 9 assists as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated city rivals, the Clippers. Two days earlier, he had 37-8-8 stat line in a win over the Bucks.

The King played a vital role in taking down the first team in the East as well as the second in the West. According to sports analyst Nick Wright, James proved he is still the best player in the world and the gap between him and the next best player is large:

“LeBron’s still the best player in the world. … He reminded everyone that the gap between him & the next best player is as large as it’s ever been — which in Year 1 we’ve never seen something like that, 3rd most minutes ever, 35, still the most reliable player.”
