A league source told 1500ESPN.com that Rubio will play on Saturday at Target Center against Dallas.

The young point guard will be back on the court, playing limited minutes of the bench for the Minnesota Timberwolves in a much expected return to their fan base.

It’s the first time that Rubio will be able to help his team since March where he torn anterior cruciate and lateral collateral ligaments in his left knee against the Los Angeles Lakers in the final minutes of the game.

In his rookie season, Ricky played 41 games and averaged 11ppg 4 rpb and 8apg in just 34 minutes of action. He made the All-Rookie Team and played in the All Star Rookie x Sophomore Game.

Minnesota was in playoff spots last season when the Spanish went down and with a quarter of the regular season played this year Rubio will be a key addiction to compete for a place in a tough Western Conference.
