The Spaniards crushed Ratiopharm Ulm 101-78 in the second leg at home to grab a ticket for the semifinals.

For the third time in as many presences of Eurocup, Uxue Bilbao Basket advanced to the next round after losing the first leg in Germany by 4 points.  To outcast Ulm, Bilbao used their great offense as main weapon putting a new record of 57 points in a half a record that was held by Estudiantes for 10 years.

Lamont Hamilton was the MVP of the game after a 21 points and 9 boards performance helped by Nikos Zisis 23 points and 13 by Roger Grimau.

On the losing side, John Bryant continued his good performances with 23 points and 9 boards and Per Guenther finished the match with 19 points mostly from the three point line (5-6).

It was a high scoring first quarter with both teams struggling at the defensive end letting too many easy baskets that made a 28-30 result.

In the second quarter Ulm cold off and the Spaniards took advantage especially with big time plays from Lamont Hamilton that led to a 10 point lead at the half, 57-47.

After taking this advantage in the second quarter Bilbao never looked back and controlled the game for most of the last 20 minutes getting a well-deserved win by 23 points in this game and an aggregated of 19 since the German squad won the first leg.
