Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart dedicated the victory of the Boston Celtics over the Utah Jazz to their teammate Gordon Hayward.
Hayward was booed by Jazz fans in his return to Utah and his teammates admitted this victory was for him.
“I’m happy we got this win for G,” said Tatum, according to Jay King of The Athletic. “They can’t say nothing,” said Smart, per Tom Westerholm of MassLive.
Hayward spent seven years with Utah (2010-2017) and he joined Boston in the summer of 2017.
