New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson is more concerned with taking his team to the playoffs rather than winning the Rookie of the Year award.
The 19-year-old missed the major part of this season and has played just in 10 games. But, his performances were impressive to say the least. He is averaging 22.1 points 7.5 rebounds. That includes two +30-point games.
Despite making a late start of the season, Williamson is making a strong claim for the ROY. While it would be ‘nice’ to win the award, Zion wants to make it to the playoffs more.
The Pelicans are 11th in the Western Conference (23-32), five wins behind the eight-seed Grizzlies (28-26).
