After an injury-shortened 2024/25 season, New Orleans Pelicans forward Zion Williamson returned in stronger form, playing 62 games and averaging 21.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

It marked one of the few times in his career he’s been available for a majority of the schedule, which has helped rebuild his value across the league.

Even with that increased value and continued outside interest, executive VP of basketball operations Joe Dumars indicated that the Pelicans have not been actively exploring deals.

“Those phone calls come in and people ask about a player and two hours later it comes out that you had a conversation about (trading) a player,” Dumars said. “But you left out the most important part. We said no.”

Williamson has played 6 seasons for the Pelicans. He has averaged 23.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 276 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 2 All-Star games.
