The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly “looked into” retired guard Darren Collison, Shams Charania said when he was a guest on the HoopsHype podcast.
Recent reports state that Collison is planning on coming out of retirement, in hopes to sign with either the Los Angeles Lakers or Clippers after the All-Star break.
76ers GM Elton Brand has interest in Collison, as he is a shot creator and shot maker, which fits what the team desperately needs.
He isn’t a three-point specialist, but he did shoot 42.4 percent from three-point over his last four seasons in the NBA.
Charania made it clear that the 76ers have been unsurprisingly, aggressive in “trying to get a shooter.”
