New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett left the game against the Phoenix Suns on Jan. 16 with an ankle injury and did not return.

After the game, head coach Mike Miller said he didn’t know the severity of the injury, but it was initially diagnosed as a sprain.

Barrett was seen on crutches in the locker room as well, according to Ian Begley of SNY.tv.

Despite having a record of 11-31, the Knicks have a bright spot in Barrett who was the No. 3 overall draft pick.

Barrett is averaging 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
