Rick Pitino has officially signed with Panathinaikos, as the six-time EuroLeague champions announced on Tuesday (26/11).
Pitino agreed to a two-year deal with Panathinaikos and will remain with the Greek club until the summer of 2021.
The 66-year-old Hall of Famer becomes the head coach of the “Greens” for the second time and will make his debut on the team’s bench on Thursday’s (28/11) game against Baskonia.
Pitino took over the team in the second part of the 2018/19 season, helping the club win the Greek league and the Greek Cup and advance to the EuroLeague playoffs.
Pitino is also the head coach of the Greek national team.
