Rick Pitino made his debut on Panathinaikos bench and received a standing ovation from the “Greens” fans.
The 67-year-old Hall of Famer coached the team for the first time against Baskonia on Thursday (28/11) and led the six-time EuroLeague champions to a triumph over the Basques (100-68).
Pitino signed a two-year contract with the “Greens” and will remain with the club until the summer of 2021.
