Big man Dwight Howard scored 16 points (on 8-8 shooting), grabbed 10 rebounds, and blocked four shots in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 120-101 home victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night. After the game, LeBron James talked on Howard:

“That’s why we brought him here. We felt like everyone else was writing him off. We feel like we can give him a great opportunity, and we believe in him. We believe in his word. He’s making the most of it. We’re truly excited to have him here right now,” James said.

In the two previous games, Howard averaged 2.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.5 blocks per game.
