The leader of Germany, Dennis Schroder, referred to his target with the national team in the upcoming tournaments.

Here is what the experienced guard said in a press conference of the German Basketball Federation, per FIBA:

“We have so much potential. We have never had so many NBA players. There was a lot of potential with Dirk Nowitzki and those great players.

But right now with the young players we have, it’s exciting for sure. I am looking forward to the future.

I cannot promise anything like I always say, but my personal goal is to win a medal in the coming years.”

Germany will face France, Jordan and the Dominican Republic in the Group Stage of the 2019 Basketball World Cup.
