Per the Russian website Izvestia, Janis Timma wants to play for Khimki in the 2019/20 season, although his loan from Olympiacos expires in June.
If Khimki secures its spot to the 2019/20 EuroLeague, then Timma will consider to remain with the Russian club. Khimki will play in next season’s EuroLeague if they win the VTB League, or if they advance to the Final and CSKA Moscow is the other finalist.
Since joining Khimki, Timma has been averaging 17.8 points, four rebounds and 1.7 assists.
“He’s a strong player who fits perfectly with our system. Of course we would like him to stay the next season and we will do everything that depends on us to achieve this,” Khimki GM Pavel Astakhov told Izvestia.
