Calathes finished the game with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 18 assists and became the first player since Nikola Vujcic (2005, 2006) to make a triple-double in the EuroLeague.

“I’m elated. Nick Calathes got his first triple-double, and if he’s not MVP of the league I don’t know who is because he’s brilliant,” the 66-year-old Hall of Famer said in the post-game press conference.

Pitino and Calathes led Panathinaikos to the playoffs, where the “Greens” will face the defending champions Real Madrid.
