Armani Milano head coach Simone Pianigiani referred to the serious knee injury of the team’s center Arturas Gudaitis.
Here is what the Italian coach said in the post-game press conference of the win against Gran Canaria (104-106).
“He most suffered a broken knee ligament. It was shocking for the players to see their teammate like this in the locker room,” Pianigiani mentioned.
Gudaitis played just seven minutes, before leaving the game with a serious injury. He was forced to exit the court on a stretcher.
If the medical tests confirm what Pianigiani said, then Gudaitis will miss the rest of the season. The Lithuanian center has averaged 12.5 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season.
